Kolkata Kolling (Calcutta Calling)

Mother house
So for the last few days we've been in Kolkata, the first place I visited after getting our lodgings set was Mother house, and it was an great welcoming experience.
Indian building
So far I've been sick all but one day... and each day its something new... from Food poisoning the first two days, healthy the third day (save tons of bed bug bites), to Food allergies the fourth day, and now a sinus infection/cold type thing.

Chicken market
Adam and Fr. Ed have found a nice Catholic hostel near Sealdah Train station that has cheap/nice A/C rooms for about 350/person/night. Michelle and I haven't checked them out yet, as they're out of our price range, but they sound very nice.

bangles are from Bengal (Bangla is the language)
Tomorrow, when I expect to be healthy again, is a voulunteer's day off. Which sucks, as I've only had one day at Kalighat. But as Michelle mentioned earlier, I have five months in India, so it's not all lost yet.

Fr. Ed stuck in an Indian procession
Getting back into Indian mode has been a bit awkward at first, but has quickly become second nature, and comfortable (as much as it could ever be).

New market again... I hate/love the place... hate the buisness problems, love the beauty

A St. John Brother from Laredo gave Michelle and I "Imitation of Christ" books... and so far it seems quite cool... It includes reflections from recent Catholic documents.
